→ Pages
Pages are the content of a website, displayed using layouts. Layouts are structured by templates. Templates define which sections, blocks, and fields can be used to manage content.
→ Sections
A section is a structure that, in addition to its own content, can provide a selection of repeatable blocks.
→ Blocks
A block is a self-contained unit that makes content manageable through fields.
→ Fields
A field is an input form that allows storing various types of information.
Text fields manage descriptions or captions, color fields offer a selection of color codes. For each medium—text, image, video, audio, color, numbers, (…) etc.—there is a corresponding field.
→ Cascade
A section contains blocks.
A block contains fields.
A field contains various types of information.
Various types of information can also include sections.
↻ With this set of rules, we can build layouts that can display both simple and complex content.
Everything but pages.
→ Settings
Settings are content similar to pages but without their own layout. Instead, they are integrated into existing pages to enhance their content. This typically includes information such as navigation menus, social media links, or footers that should be available across the entire website rather than limited to specific pages.
Organize your files.
→ Mediathek
The media library contains all uploaded media, such as images, videos, audio files, and other documents. Each media item is tagged with the page or setting where it’s used, making it easier to identify unused media. Features like search and cleanup ensure that the media library remains well-organized.
→ Optimization
All compressed files, including images and videos, are optimized to fit your website's requirements, ensuring the smallest possible file sizes while maintaining high quality. We use the modern AVIF format for images, and MP4 for videos.
A dedicated live environment.
→ Publish
After testing and approving all changes on a staging environment an authorized person may publish the website to live. We use a pin (passcode) approach for this to eliminate the need for user roles—thus user roles are available if they make sense.
Extend.
→ Adaptation
This comprehensive system provides a flexible foundation on which almost anything can be built and expanded as needed. The idea behind it is to abstract parts of content management as a framework and further develop them to create other digital tools.
Digital tools are designed to optimize workflows, support processes, or organize information in a targeted manner. Modern browsers and frameworks increasingly allow solutions to be provided independently of the operating system—universal applications that can be used equally by all users. They are scalable and adaptable, enabling both companies and individuals to find customized solutions that meet their specific needs.
